ROOFING
Created from a modified single ply GRP laminate, cold applied in situ to create a joint and weld free continuous high performance covering. A covering which can be provided in a choice of colours and which when cured is virtually maintenance fee. It can be used for domestic or commercial roofs, for balconies and walkways, for gutters and valleys, or to simulate lead or other traditional finishes. The versatility of laminate is demonstrated by its use in Industrial flooring applications, tanking applications and as an inert hygienic surface in food preparation areas.
GRP more commonly referred to as “glassfibre” is formed in situ by reinforcing polyester resin, which has been cured or hardened with a peroxide based catalyst with an emulsion bound chop strand mat. Once cured this forms a joint free laminate that will outlast virtually any other traditional roofing material.

Glassfibre is a cold applied system that is ideally suited to both simple and complex structural designs and can be rapidly applied and cured to prevent water ingress, giving total protection. High performance is achieved as the material is made up of a combination of modified polyester base resin, emulsion bound chop strand mat and a finishing coat of pre-pigmented topcoat.

When cured it is guaranteed to provide performance beyond that of more traditional bitumen or polymer based waterproofing coatings.

Bitumen based waterproofing systems have been used for almost 2000 years. Unfortunately the only thing that all bitumen based products have in common is how little time will they take to fail. Our alternative material is a cost effective alternative that if installed to the correct specification should easily outlast the performance of the overall roof structure.

GRP systems have been used successfully for over 20 years, fast becoming the preferred choice of Architects, Specifiers and Local Authorities. Installed by highly skilled and suitably trained installers, clients can be assured that it will continue to perform long after more traditional coatings have failed, making it a permanent roofing solution.

GRP is well suited for ares of high foot traffic as it uses a glass fibre mat in the laminate for extra strength. In addition, the top coat can be pigmented to a wide variety of colours to match your homes exterior colour scheme.

A non slip surface using slate chippings can be added to the top coat or if preferred a slate chipping all over finish can be achieved.
